Rainbow families

Rainbow Families

At Lift Cottingley, every child is part of a Rainbow Family; Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Rainbow Families work together to help one another and help our school become a better place.

The children meet once a week for Rainbow Family assembly and discuss school improvement issues. They also meet in their phases each week to work on our Jigsaw (PSHE) theme and Thrive activities.

Each member of each family also contributes to team awards. These include:

A half termly award for the family with the best attendance.
Visitor stars - all of our visitors are given coloured star tokens. When they are impressed by a pupil going over and above, they can award them a star in the colour of their Rainbow Family. These can be exchanged for time in Roary's Rainbow Reward Room.
The Rainbow Family cup - in PE children take part in six activities, points are awarded and the Family with the most points wins the trophy at the the end of the year
